‘Diablo IV’ Season 2 to Launch on October 17th
Blizzard Entertainment has unveiled the trailer for the upcoming second season of Diablo IV, revealing that it will be available on October 17th. As reported by IGN, players can anticipate acquiring vampire abilities and confronting a vampire lord in an exciting new questline during the opening night of Gamescom 2023. Aptly named “Season of Blood,” the online action role-playing game’s second season will indeed revolve around vampires.
Gemma Chan, an actress and producer who starred in Eternals and Crazy Rich Asians, voices the vampire hunter companion Erys, who leads the fight against a new threat in the game’s universe. The new season also features five new and returning endgame bosses, as well as updates to familiar rewards, gem and storage space so that gems no longer take up space, and resistance and status effects.
Diablo IV’s main story, which came out earlier this year, featured a story set decades after the end of Diablo III: Reaper of Souls. It puts the player in the shoes of a wanderer who, due to certain circumstances, must now go after Lilith. She is the daughter of Mephisto, who featured prominently in Diablo II as one of the main villains the player must defeat. Diablo IV became the best-selling game in June when it came out, and Fergusson said the first season, which is still running, has 12 million players.
We’ll have to wait and see if the second season adds more players to that number. For now, fans can check out its trailer below:
